There are currently 5,870 songs on my iPod, and i’m not going to lie…i’m sick of every single one of them.
Someone recommend something new and do it in a hurry…

This is a great new band. Just came through town last week at the Modified. Hope it helps!

Comment by Sam April 21, 2008 @ 2:40 pmI’ll let you borrow my hard drive with all my tunes on it tonight when you get your bag. I’m certain there is plenty on there you will not like, but there is bound to be something that you fancy.
Comment by Kelli April 22, 2008 @ 11:06 amEveryone is all about being indie these days…might i interest you in something a little more mainstream. how about: Daughtry, self titled, Daughtry (this guy can write some hooks)…Jordin Sparks and Chris Brown singing, No Air (“Extra” reported jordin might lose her voice)…Miley Cyrus singing See You Again (she’ll break your achy breaky heart)…Mariah Carey with E=mc2 (she’s a cougar)…or anything Kelly Clarkson…”championship”
Comment by mark April 22, 2008 @ 1:57 pmYou got The National right?
Check out the Black Keys, a cool bluesy duo.
If you are in a heavy mood, I highly recommend Everytime I Die or In Flames.
Alt county: the everybodyfields or Jesse Sykes and the Sweet Hereafter or Neko Case.
Solid piano driven indie rock: The Hold Steady.
Also, Oregon’s own Menomena is really awesome.
How about the new Minus the Bear?
How about indie favs Tapes N Tapes?
Allison Krause and Robert Plant?
OK, that should be enough (and a wide variety) to keep you entertained for a while.

their sort of a heavy/artsy band if you can believe it.
please first listen to the track entitled “Tree Village” their insight on matters such as greed and self-loathing is uncanny. and even though its sort of off base, it reminds me of your post, “please kindly take a moment and go fuck yourself.”
if you dont like tree village, then please at least listen to “strawberry Swisher Pt.2″. its sort of a complete switch from what you would think the rest of their music sounds like
